Dead by Daylight is getting a graphical overhaul this year

The developers behind Dead by Daylight have been putting in plenty of work recently, upgrading the title with cross-platform progression and multiplayer. Now as we approach the Xbox Series X and PS5 launch, more upgrades are on the table, with a graphical overhaul coming for next-gen consoles and other platforms.

A free graphical update for Dead by Daylight on next-gen consoles will essentially act as a remaster, allowing the game to run in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with updated graphical effects. Other platforms will also be getting some graphical upgrades too, including updated animations, better lighting, improved visual effects, higher detail models and textures.

In the video above, you can get a look at these new graphical enhancements in action – it is a short teaser though, clocking in at just one minute and a half.

Behaviour Interactive, the studio behind Dead by Daylight, confirmed that owners of Dead by Daylight on the Xbox One and PS4 will get a free upgrade to the next-gen version and all of their content and progression will carry forward too.

KitGuru Says: Updated animations and textures are going to be the big focus points for me here, although we don't get the best look at those things via a short, compressed YouTube video. Are many of you looking forward to Dead by Daylight's graphical overhaul?
