Capcom raises profit forecast as Resident Evil Requiem beats expectations

Resident Evil Requiem is due to get its first piece of DLC very soon. The new content will land at a perfect time, as Capcom just raised its profit forecast thanks to continued strong sales of the game.

In a newly-released financial statement, Capcom said that Resident Evil Requiem's 7-million sales milestone has pushed its financials up for the year, with the company now set to “outperform the previously announced forecast”.

This would mean that Resident Evil Requiem has beaten Capcom's predictions. The company now expects to earn around $320 million in net profit, a near 7% increase from its previous forecast.

Resident Evil Requiem wasn't the only money maker here though. Capcom also noted favourable performance for its Arcade business, amusement equipment business and other areas of operation.

KitGuru Says: If Dragon's Dogma 2 also gets a big ‘Arisen' style upgrade this year, then Capcom will have a spectacularly strong 2026.
