Nintendo Direct Mini stream coming this afternoon

Despite Nintendo insisting that there are no plans for a Direct stream, the rumour mill has continued to spin. Over the weekends, rumours of a Nintendo Direct began to circulate online and now, Nintendo has confirmed one for later today, although it is a ‘Direct Mini', rather than a bigger showcase.

Nintendo officially announced the Direct Mini stream earlier today, This is set to be a partner showcase, so don't expect any big first-party announcements. Instead, we'll be getting third-party titles and indies to bulk out the Nintendo Switch release library for the next few months.

The Direct Mini is likely going to be around 10 minutes long, so it will be a fairly quick watch. It goes live at 7AM PT, 10AM EST and 3PM here in the UK.

KitGuru Says: Nintendo has had a rough time this year, opting out of major game showcases while Sony and Microsoft continue to forge ahead. Hopefully this Direct Mini is followed up by some bigger Nintendo announcements towards the end of the Summer.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
