There are ‘no plans’ to bring Cyberpunk 2077 to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has managed to secure a few major Xbox Game Pass releases, but according to the rumour mill, the biggest was yet to come. There have been consistent rumours that Microsoft was going to shell out a chunk of cash to get Cyberpunk 2077 on Game Pass at release. However, that notion has been shot down by CD Projekt Red.

Cyberpunk 2077 launching as an Xbox Game Pass title always seemed a little far-fetched but there is no denying that such a deal would have brought in a ton of new subscribers to Microsoft's service. Unfortunately, it isn't meant to be:

In the tweet above, CD Projekt Red PR lead, Radek Grabowski, explains that there are “no Game Pass plans for Cyberpunk 2077”, indicating that there is no intent to bring it to Game Pass at launch, or within the several months following.

That's not to say that Cyberpunk 2077 won't hit Game Pass eventually. CD Projekt Red did bring The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt to Game Pass for console a while back, Perhaps after a year or two, we'll see something similar with Cyberpunk 2077.

KitGuru Says: Cyberpunk 2077 on Game Pass day-one would have been the deal of a lifetime, but it did always sound too good to be true. At any rate, I'm sure most people won't have any qualms with spending full price on such a massive, extensive RPG.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
