Additional sources confirm Suicide Squad as Rocksteady’s next game

Earlier today, keen-eyed DC fans noticed that Warner Bros had recently registered two new web domains, one referring to Gotham Knights and another referring to Suicide Squad. Now thanks to some additional reporting, we know that Rocksteady's next game is indeed based on Suicide Squad.

As reported by Eurogamer's Tom Philips, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is in the running to be the title for Rocksteady's upcoming game but it is “further off from launch” compared to Gotham Knights. The game may be teased during DC Fandome in August but not much will be shown.

By comparison, Gotham Knights is the game that WB Montreal has been working on for the last few years and is much closer to release. This is the Court of Owls projects that has been teased many times over the last year.

That's all the information we have for now but according to rumours, both of these titles will come to next-gen consoles and will have ‘live service' elements.

KitGuru Says: Rocksteady has primarily been known for Batman up to this point, so it will be interesting to see what the studio does with a cast of villains instead. What do you all think of the latest details surrounding Rocksteady's next game?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
