Blizzard’s World of Warcraft: Shadowlands stream delayed

With World of Warcraft's next expansion launching within the next few months, Blizzard has been planning to show off more footage and share new details about what fans of the MMO can look forward to. There was supposed to be some announcements taking place live next week, but the event has since been postponed.

As tweeted out by the World of Warcraft Twitter account, the Shadowlands livestream is no longer taking place on the 9th of June and will be moved to an unspecified date:

This is in an effort to allow “more important voices to be heard”, a sentiment shared by the likes of CD Projekt Red, Sony and others, which have all delayed upcoming live announcements in support of the on-going protests in the US and other countries following on from the murder of George Floyd.

Blizzard won't be holding Blizzcon this year, so individual game-focused streams are likely going to be the main source of news and announcements. Perhaps later in the month, Shadowlands will get its showing.

KitGuru Says: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is coming out this year, so we can wait a bit longer to see/hear more. Were many of you planning on tuning into this next week?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
