Paper Mario: The Origami King announced

It was already rumoured that we would see a new Mario game from Nintendo this year and now, we finally know what's coming. Instead of holding a Nintendo Direct, this news was just pushed out today alongside a trailer, announcing Paper Mario: The Origami King.

Paper Mario: The Origami King marks the debut of the Paper Mario series on the Nintendo Switch. You can get a good idea of what to expect in the trailer below:

As Mario, you will use your abilities to stop King Olly from taking over Origami Kingdom, you will also enlist the help of other characters along the way. The latest Paper Mario also has a new ring-based battle system, so you can use some puzzle-solving skills to maximise your damage against enemies.

Paper Mario: The Origami King is launching on July 17th.

KitGuru Says: Those rumours of a continuously delayed Direct in February/March appear to hold some weight in hindsight. Still, it is good to see that the current climate isn't keeping the game from being announced or released. Will many of you be picking this up in July?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
