Black Ops 6 Season 6 adds Jason; The Predator and Chucky

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has been a bit of a controversial game, with the latest entry in the FPS giant doing some things right, and others very wrong. For better or for worse, BO6 will soon reach its end-of-life. Ahead of this however, the team at Treyarch have now unveiled the game’s 6th and final Season – with this year’s The Haunting adding the Predator, Jason Voorhees and more.

Releasing a cinematic-focused trailer (alongside a lengthy blog post), Call of duty Black Ops 6 Season 6 has been officially announced.

Going live on the 9th of October (right as the BO7 beta ends), this year’s version of their annual ‘The Haunting’ is set to introduce a number of major horror icons including:

  • 3 versions of The Predator
  • Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th)
  • Chucky / Tiff (Child’s Play)

Beyond this, Season 6 will add new weapons and attachments, those being:

  • Dresden 9mm (aka the MP40)
  • Merrick 556 (aka the Mini-14)
  • Chainsaw melee weapon
  • X52 Resonator “Full-auto anomaly”
  • Double-Barrel Conversion kit for the GPR 91
  • Muzzle Booster for the GPMG-7

Being a Halloween-focused Season, The Haunting will of course introduce a number of themed limited-time-modes, including:

  • Slasher Deathmatch (Multiplayer) – letting you play as Jason and Chucky
  • Haunted Havoc (Zombies)
  • Zombie Royale (Warzone)
  • Casual Z (Warzone and Resurgence)

As always, the 6th and final Season also brings with it a new Battle Pass; far too many paid cosmetics; new multiplayer maps; a new Season of Ranked Play and more. Full details for Black Ops 6 The Haunting can be found HERE.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
