Nintendo Direct reportedly scheduled for week of Super Mario Bros anniversary

Fans have been eagerly awaiting more for more information on upcoming first-party Nintendo games like Metroid Prime 4. It sounds like Nintendo will finally be lifting the curtain on a few new games in September, as reports claim another Nintendo Direct is scheduled.

Sources speaking with VGC have claimed that a new Nintendo Direct stream will take place in mid-September. More importantly, it is also scheduled for the same week as the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros.

Switch Direct

This upcoming Nintendo Direct should also serve as a platform to announce the release date for Metroid Prime 4. First announced for the Switch 1 in 2017, Metroid Prime 4 is now finally ready to release and now, it will also be a major title for the Switch 2's first-year library.

Fans are also eagerly hoping to see more news on older Switch 1 exclusives getting updates for the Switch 2, increasing resolutions and frame rates to more acceptable levels. Major Switch 1 exclusives like the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy, the Fire Emblem games, Astral Chain and Bayonetta 3 are some of the first ones that spring to my mind.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
