The next Hades 2 patch could be the last before full release

Even though Hades 2 has not yet reached its full 1.0 release, it has maintained an impressive early access run on PC. With more than 61,000 Steam reviews, the game has been in early access for more than a year, and even its early versions have received praise for their polish and depth of content for a game that is still in development. With the eagerly anticipated 1.0 launch ever closer, one can only imagine where this journey will end.

On June 17th, Supergiant Games released “The Unseen Update”, their third significant early access patch. With the addition of a new “Vow of Rivals” that not only made Guardian battles more intense but also urged players to change up their tactics for every encounter, this update mainly addressed combat changes. The latest patch, Patch 10, expands on this by making a few minor adjustments to already-existing items and abilities and fine-tuning the Vow of Rivals encounters. Additionally, Supergiant has stated that no new locations or plot points will be added before the v1.0 release, as the game's actual conclusion is being postponed until the full release.

According to the developer, Patch 10 is “likely to be our final patch before our v1.0 launch”. The sentiment implies that the end of early access is approaching, even though they followed this with a cautious “whenever that will be!” This is undoubtedly exciting for console gamers or those who would have instead waited for the game to be finished.

Xbox and PlayStation users, however, will have to be a little more patient. Hades 2's precise 1.0 release date is still unknown, but Supergiant has made it clear that the game will first be available on PC, the Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Fans have previously received assurances from the developer that the game is optimised to run smoothly on both Nintendo platforms at a steady 60 FPS.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
