Assassin’s Creed 1 may be the next game to get a remake

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has been officially announced to the world and Ubisoft has teased plans for future remakes. One renowned Ubisoft-focused leaker has claimed that Assassin's Creed 1 will be the next game to get this treatment.

According to j0nathan, who has accurately leaked Assassin's Creed details in the past, Assassin's Creed will be the next game in the series to get a remake and has been planned since 2023.

Assassin's Creed 1 has the biggest opportunity for Ubisoft to make some real quality of life improvements. The original game is hard to go back to nowadays with its more dated movement and exploration mechanics.

Previous rumours have claimed that Ubisoft already had another Assassin's Creed remake project cooking up alongside Black Flag Resynced, so if J0nathan is correct, then Assassin's Creed 1 Remake may only be a few years away.

KitGuru Says: Assassin's Creed 1 is perhaps the one game in the series in desperate need of a remake. However, not all fans may want a totally overhauled experience, so it will be interesting to see how many changes Ubisoft commits to if this game really is in development.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
