Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra delayed to ‘early 2026’

While it was previously reported by a voice actor working on Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra that the game would release this holiday season, the game needs more time in the oven. Today, a 2026 release date was officially confirmed by Skydance Games.

In a tweet shared this afternoon, Skydance Games confirmed that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been delayed and will now release in ‘early 2026'. Presumably, this means before the end of March, keeping the game well ahead of GTA 6, which lands in May next year.

In its statement, Skydance said that “taking this additional time will allow us to add more polish, and make sure we give you the best possible experience”.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra showcases an early-career Captain America, fighting in the middle of World War 2. Black Panther also features prominently in the game, as he looks to protect Wakanda from being discovered by Nazi forces.

KitGuru Says: Hopefully we'll get a more concrete release date later this year. With this being a major AAA Marvel release, I'd expect to see a new trailer sometime this summer.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
