Square Enix is hosting its own E3 press conference

E3 was already looking exciting this year, Microsoft is expected to show off a wealth of new first party content, Sony always has something up its sleeve and Bethesda is even joining in with a conference of its own. Now, Square Enix has also announced that it will be hosting a press conference at E3 this year.

Now why would Square Enix host its own press conference? Well it seems likely that the publisher has something big to announce, after all, going to E3 and hosting an event isn't cheap. The Square Enix conference will take place on Tuesday the 16th of June at 5PM UK time.

The event will be streamed on Twitch, like most other big conferences. Square Enix in the past has allowed its games to be shown off by the platform holders but it looks like the publisher is taking the reigns this time around.

So what can we expect to see? Well we will most likely see more of Final Fantasy XV but several other announced games are also on the cards, including Just Cause 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Kingdom Hearts 3. The new Tomb Raider game could theoretically make an appearance but we will likely see that on Microsoft's own stage.

Who knows, maybe Square Enix also has some secret projects up its sleeve to announce. Either way, E3 just got a bit more exciting.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
