It turns out that The Witcher 3's appearance at Gamescom Opening Night Live was a double header. Not only did we get our first look at the new Songs of the Past expansion, but CD Projekt Red also announced a free remaster for the original game, coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox consoles. 

Half a decade on from their last release in the form of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red appear to be getting ready to drop multiple titles back-to-back over the next few years. Alongside the arrival of Songs of the Past some time in 2027, CDPR have now confirmed that The Witcher 4 will follow it up in 2028.

Geralt is officially returning in The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past. Doug Cockle, the long‑time voice of the White Wolf, has shared a new image on social media showing him back in the recording booth working on new dialogue for the upcoming expansion.
