Humble announces upcoming games showcase

While they are known best for bundling a bunch of games into one relatively cheap package, Humble Games has been increasingly stepping into the publishing space over the past many years (despite some controversial lay-offs). Gearing up for its next major event, the Humble Games Showcase has now been announced – set to go live on the 12th of March.

As reported by Gematsu, Humble have announced their next ‘Humble Games Showcase’. Set to go live on the 12th of March at 5PM UK time, the stream will be hosted on YouTube and will include a pre-show featuring the likes of Akupara Games, Alawar, and more.

Following this will be the main event, which according to Humble will include both new and previously-announced games, including:

  • “New reveals from Lost Skies and Monaco 2
  • An exciting new reveal from upcoming 2.5D JRPG Threads of Time
  • Updates from the recently released On Your Tail and Wizard of Legend II
  • A toe-tapping new look at Billie Bust Up
  • Two never-before-seen world premieres
  • And more!”

As mentioned, Humble Games have suffered from a number of controversies in recent months, with the publisher greatly restructuring itself last year due to “challenging economic times for indie game publishing” – leading to a bunch of lay-offs.

While this remains a bit of a stain on the company’s reputation, it will still be interesting to see what the publisher has planned for the upcoming showcase, and what exactly these two surprise world premieres will be.
