Nightdive Studios have two unannounced games coming this year

Nightdive Studios have had a pretty big year, with the porting/remastering studio releasing three major projects this year including the long-awaited system Shock Remake and the surprise release of Quake II Remastered. In the wake of the studio’s acquisition by Atari, it seems as though Nightdive’s output will continue with its current cadence, as they currently have two unannounced titles in development.

Stephen Kick, the CEO of Nightdive Studios, is an active participant in online social circles, with them actively engaging with fans via the likes of Twitter. In response to one fan who said “Dude you released System Shock remake and #Quake2 remaster in the same year. So proud of you and the team!!!” Kick corrected them while also teasing a number of future releases, saying:

“…and ROTT [Rise of the Triad]: Ludicrous Edition…plus TWO MORE unannounced titles”. Based on the wording of the response, it seems as though these two unannounced titles are set to be unveiled and released this year, meaning Nightdive would have launched 5 titles in total just in 2023.

Of course, while both these unannounced projects are unlikely to be anything as big as their System Shock remake, the fact that a team of 40 developers are able to release so many titles in just one year is impressive to say the least.

No hints were given as to what these titles might be, but with the studio recently being acquired by Atari, the number of IPs available to them is now rather significant.
