Remnant II is getting a free Boss Rush mode

Last July Gunfire Games released Remnant II – the sequel to 2019’s surprise hit souls-like. Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, the co-op focused title managed to sell over 2 million copies in just a few months. Since then, the team have been supporting the title with free updates and paid DLC alike – with the team now revealing the upcoming inventive boss rush mode.

Making the announcement on their website, the team at Gunfire Games said “The Dark Horizon DLC launches September 24. It comes together with a free game update that includes the brand-new Boss Rush Mode!”

Going into further details, The Dark Horizon is the 3rd and final piece of paid DLC, bringing with it a new overworld; “new dungeons, experience a new glider traversal system not found in other worlds, acquire powerful gear—including a new Archetype, ‘The Warden’— meet unexpected allies, and face new threats as you set off to defeat the colossal entity that watches over N’Erud!”

On the other side, the free half of the update will bring with it the aforementioned Boss Rush mode. Despite the name, there is more going on than just an actual boss rush, with it serving more like a challenge tower – including interstitial waves of smaller enemies.
