The Blood of Dawnwalker appears to already be the next big thing in the RPG space, with the non-linear dark fantasy title from ex-CDPR devs at Rebel Wolves arriving to high praise and equally high sales. Less than a week on from the game’s official launch, Rebel Wolves are already hiring for its sequel.
Marking the debut title from new studio Rebel Wolves, The Blood of Dawnwalker has already made its presence well known; with the action-RPG being praised in particular for its narrative and writing while selling over 1 million copies in 48 hours.
Capitalising on the game’s success, The Blood of Dawnwalker’s narrative director Jakub Szamalek took to LinkedIn to announce that work is already underway on a sequel, posting:
“Hey writers! Me again. The Blood of Dawnwalker released to critical acclaim and sold over one million copies in the opening weekend. But! We're not resting on our laurels – no, siree! We're already thinking about (sic) comes next.”
Szamalek continued, “And so! Drum roll please! I'm looking for a Lead Writer to help me and the narrative team craft the next chapter in the Dawnwalker saga. We're looking for someone who, to put it bluntly, writes EXCEPTIONALLY well, has a track record of excellence and experience in team management.”
As mentioned, The Blood of Dawnwalker has been particularly praised for its writing and characters, and so it makes sense that Rebel Wolves would want to ensure that they have the right team at the helm for what will likely be a highly-anticipated sequel.
