Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is officially getting another year of support

Released over a decade following its first entry, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launched in September of 2024 to a wave of success; both critically and commercially. Since then, the game has continued to thrive thanks in part to two strong years of post-launch support. Celebrating the game’s second anniversary, the team at Saber / Focus have now announced their ‘Year Three’ roadmap.

Taking to their blog to make the announcement, the team at Saber Interactive unveiled their “strategic battle plan for Year 3” – aka an official roadmap. On the paid side of things, players can look forward to a total of 10 different ‘Champion Packs’ being released between October 2026 and Q3 2027.

Far more interesting however are the free updates, with Patch 15 (arriving on the 1st of October) introducing:

• The long-awaited Chaos Siege mode
• Crucible system
• Tactical rework
• New one-handed Thunder Hammer
• 3 additional heroic weapons and armour pieces

Other exciting additions arriving over the next year will include (but is not limited to):

• New PvP mode
• 18 heroic weapons
• 9 heroic armour pieces
• Apothecary class
• Two new operations
• 4th perks row
• Multiple class reworks
• And more…
