KFA2 GeForce GTX 680 LTD OC 2048MB Review (UK exclusive) (1268mhz – White PCB)

We use a main review system which a high portion of the enthusiast user base could afford. This is ideal for measuring the relative performance of a wide cross section of hardware.

On this page however, we move the card to our high end Core i7 3960X Extreme Edition build, which is liquid cooled. This will enhance the performance even further.

Ultra High End System:

Processor: Core i7 3960 X Extreme Edition @ 4.6ghz
Cooler: Antec 920 H20
Memory: 16GB G.Skill 2,400mhz @ 10-11-10-30
Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme
Power Supply: Enermax Platimax 1200W
Optical Drive
: Asus BluRay Drive
Chassis
: Lian Li PC-A77FR Aluminium Red Full Tower Case
Monitors
: Dell U3011, 3x Ilyama ProLite E2472HDD
Boot Drive: Patriot WildFire 120GB
Secondary Drive: 1TB Samsung

System validation is available here.

We managed to almost score 12,000 points in 3DMark 11 with the KFA2 GeForce GTX 680 LTD OC in this system. The highest score yet for a single GPU card, by a clear margin.

  8. The price is ridiculous for most people, but a good point is made in the conclusion. People who buy these kind of cards really dont care. ive seen reviews dock two points for a price over £500 when really the people who buy these and read the reviews tend to focus on overclocking, temps and how easy it would be to watercool 🙂
