Synology announces the expansion of its UK Technical Support team

Following on from the company's success throughout 2013, Synology has moved to a new office building and in an effort to expand, it has also hired two new technical support advisors to work with customers in the UK: Darren Blakeley and James Howe. The recruitment will allow for swifter pre-sales and better after care support for customers.

Technical support will be offered via telephone, email and also Team Viewer sessions for critical situations. Howe is a software and network support specialist and comes from a varied industry background while Blakeley is a former Senior IT Technician, handling scripting and programming with Powershell, data manipulation and reporting.

For those of you who don't know, Synology specialises in NAS storage devices, aiming to create reliable, affordable and environmentally-friendly servers. The company recently announced two new products for its current lineup: The DS414j and EDS14. We recently reviewed the DS414j here at KitGuru.

Mike Chen, Managing Director of Synology UK, gave a statement: “We’re currently moving from strength to strength and want to offer our customers the best service possible. With more members in the support team, this will ensure Synology users and our channel partners get the very best in pre-sales and technical advice.”

KitGuru Says: Synology is still looking for technical support advisors in the UK, so if any of you guys are interested, get in touch with them.
