In the past, AMD has released both ‘X' and non-X versions of its Ryzen CPUs. AMD has yet to announce non-X Ryzen 7000 series processors, but it seems they are on the way. 

Leaker @momomo_us posted a simple tweet about the rumoured Ryzen 7 7700 CPU. As per the vague message, the upcoming processor will pack eight cores. However, there was no mention of the chip featuring SMT, meaning it could have eight or sixteen threads. Moreover, the message suggests it will come in a 65W TDP, which makes sense considering what we've seen in previous non-X chips.

Although the leaker didn't mention any other Ryzen 7000 non-X chip, AMD is likely planning more SKUs. Our guess is that we'll see a Ryzen 5 7500 and a Ryzen 5 7600.

Besides the non-X chips, AMD is also expected to launch other Ryzen 7000 processors for desktops. We're talking about the Ryzen 7000X3D, rumoured to be announced during CES 2023 (January 5-8th). If we get lucky, AMD may introduce the non-X CPUs alongside the X3D ones.

KitGuru says: With Intel 13th Gen Core chips now available, AMD has to respond in some way. One way is to reduce the price of the platform, making motherboards and processors cheaper. The other is launching more processors to close pricing gaps and offer worthy alternatives to Intel chips at their price point.
