EA Play finally rolling out on Xbox Game Pass for PC

Microsoft announced that it would be including EA Play with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions way back in September 2020 and while console gamers got access to EA's library fairly quickly, PC gamers have been left waiting. That finally changes this week, with EA Play access now rolling out to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers.

More than 60 EA games are being added to the Xbox Game Pass for PC app, including the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, The Sims 4, FIFA 21, Need for Speed Heat and legacy titles like the Mass Effect and Dead Space trilogies. However, the process isn't as simple as installing a game through the Game Pass application and launching it – you will need to link your Xbox and EA accounts.

Alongside your Xbox Game Pass subscription and the Game Pass app, you will also need to download and install the EA Desktop app. Similarly to most EA games on Steam, playing a game through EA Play on Game Pass requires the secondary launcher.

EA games aren't showing up in the Game Pass library for all PC subscribers yet, but the the rollout has begun, so everyone should have access by the end of this week.
