iPhone 8 ‘dummy model’ images appear online

There have been quite a few leaks regarding the next iPhone recently. Last week we saw a leaked design document and this week, images of what appears to be an iPhone 8 ‘dummy model' have appeared online. If accurate, then this could be our first early look at what Apple has planned for later this year.

The dummy model images were leaked by Twitter user ‘VenyaGeskin1' who claims that this is a Foxconn iPhone 8 dummy model. The back is made of 2.5D glass and the cameras are aligned vertically as seen in last week's design document leak. However, there is no Touch ID on the rear.

The device in the pictures has an edge to edge display as we have heard from the rumours. It also features a glass and steel design, which we have also been hearing about for several months now.

Obviously, there is the chance that this is a fake dummy model created by a case company based off of current rumours/leaks, rather than a dummy model for Foxconn to work off of. So these images may not be entirely representative of the final product later this year.

KitGuru Says: The new iPhone design seems reminiscent of older iPhones, though there is a case covering it, so the view is slightly obscured.
