Superman and Rick Sanchez come to Fortnite

Though it may come as no surprise, Fortnite is adding yet more franchises to its line-up of crossover characters. As part of the latest season of the Battle Royale game, Superman and Rick Sanchez (from Rick and Morty) are being added into the game.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 recently launched, bringing with it a whole litany of changes and additions, including UFOs, new Sci-Fi weapons, and even a customisable alien skin. Despite all this, two of the biggest additions to this Season are the introduction of Superman and Rick Sanchez.

Superheroes are nothing new to Fortnite, with many Marvel characters, Batman, and more coming to the game. Now, the granddaddy of them all is joining the roster: Superman. Being added as part of the Battle Pass, Superman offers a number of variant looks, donning his classic outfit, a black variant, as well as being able to play as the uncover Clark Kent.

Rick Sanchez offers perhaps one of the most interesting skins so far, as unlike most of the other skins – which adopt Fortnite’s art style, Rick Sanchez takes inspiration from his cartoon roots, with the skin offering a cel-shaded look, making the character stand out amongst all of the other characters.

Fortnite is far from the competitive Battle Royale game that it was when the shooter first launched. This latest Season continues this trend, and while for some Fortnite has lost its appeal, for others this Season is set to be its most exciting yet.
