AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT will reportedly launch after Computex 2025

AMD is rumoured to be preparing a new Radeon GPU targeting the mid-range market, offering a direct competitor to the newly released Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti. Similar to Nvidia's approach, this new card is expected to be available in two memory configurations: 16GB and 8GB. However, the reception to Nvidia's RTX 5060 Ti launch may influence AMD's decision on whether to proceed with this strategy.

The most pressing question surrounding this rumoured GPU is its release timeframe. While the veracity of the rumours remains uncertain, Apoleon (via videocardz) reported that the RX 9060 XT announcement would happen sometime in May, while others like Hoang Anh Phu were a bit more specific. The latter claims these cards will be announced at Computex 2025 and released two weeks later.

The RX 9060 XT will likely be powered by the Navi 44 GPU, necessitating a 500-550W PSU, and will likely utilise traditional 8-pin power connectors. Intriguingly, the RX 9060 XT is rumoured to boast significantly higher boost clock speeds than the RX 9070, potentially by as much as 700MHz. This clock speed advantage could translate to a substantial performance increase compared to previous generations of AMD GPUs. The GDDR6 memory speed is expected to be 20Gbps, a slight improvement over the 18Gbps found on the RDNA 3-based RX 7600.

Pricing is still unknown but like the RX 9070, we expect it to be very competitive with Nvidia's direct competitor graphics card, which in this case, would be the newly launched RTX 5060 TI.
