After a few months of teasing, Pearl Abyss has revealed the very first story DLC for Crimson Desert. The new expansion, Charting the Unknown, will launch in October, offering players new regions to explore on the high-seas.
In Charting the Unknown, we will be driving our very own boat around, offering up new exploration opportunities, both above and below sea level. As there are new areas to explore, we will also encounter new enemy types, and new secret loot.
In its teaser for the expansion, Pearl Abyss writes: “Beyond Pywel’s shores, a new adventure awaits. Players can take command of their own ship and set sail across the ocean to explore uncharted islands and discover what lies beyond the familiar coastlines. Beneath the waves, they can uncover underwater treasures, sunken ruins, and hidden mysteries, opening new paths for exploration and discovery.”
Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown is the first planned DLC for the game but there will likely be more in 2027 and beyond. The new DLC will be available starting from October 15th, priced at £19.99.
KitGuru Says: Crimson Desert was one of this year's most surprising games to me. Will you be returning to it when the new DLC drops?
