We're 15 years on from the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and we are still getting hugely interesting mods. This week, IKEA tried its hand at a Skyrim mod, adding in a new quest that rewards players with a sentient shelving unit, voiced by none other than Matt Berry.
The KALLAX Storageborn mod is now live and available to download directly in‑game through the Creations menu. It adds a new quest, new loot and, most importantly, a sentient shelving‑unit companion that can collect and organise loot for you, helping you avoid becoming over‑encumbered.
“During your adventure, build your very own Kallax Storageborn. With unfathomable storage capacity, the ability to collect loot, tidy up your homestead and be summoned with a new Thu’um, even when not a companion, Kallax will change your clutter management forever”, the mod description reads.
Aside from having the ultimate loot collection and organisation tool, players will also get two new items – the Meatball helmet and the Allenblade. If you want to, you can even have the shelf follow you around the world as a companion character, giving you plenty of storage on the go. If you don't want a shelf as a companion, the new in-game quest also gives you a new spell to summon the shelf whenever you need it.
KitGuru Says: I never thought we would see an official IKEA game mod but here we are. Will you be trying this out on your Skyrim save?
