As we encroach on the final few months of the year, various award shows are gearing up for their annual video game ceremonies. One such show is the Golden Joystick Awards; one of the oldest and longest-running in the industry. Celebrating its 44th year, nominations for the 2026 edition of the show have been revealed – with public votes officially going live.
Ahead of its premiere on the 11th of November, the full suite of nominations for this year’s Golden Joystick Awards have gone live, giving you the opportunity to vote on your favourite games of the year. Consisting of 21 categories in total, some of the most competitive include the following:

PC Game of the Year

The full suite of categories includes all sorts from ‘Best Hardware’ to Best Adaptation; Game Trailer; Remake / Remaster; ‘Most Wanted Game’ and more. The one category yet to be revealed is for the Ultimate Game of the Year – with nominations set to be officially announced after voting for all other categories has closed (23rd of October).
