Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 teased for August release

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is another one of those devices with an especially  long announcement to release span, but in a way it has been justified. First announced at Mobile World Congress in February it was meant to ship with a dual-core Exynos chipset. However, it was delayed by a couple of months in order to upgrade the chipset and other aspects.

An television ad was seemingly leaked which demonstrates some neat S-Pen abilities; these will perhaps be the most attractive feature of the tablet.

An early unboxing has revealed a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor which will likely be the same Exynos processor seen in the Galaxy S III. There will be an integrated slot in the body for the S-Pen and the 10.1 inch display will have a somewhat disappointing 1280×800 resolution. The rear camera will be a 5 MP sensor and the entire tablet will weigh in at 580 grams.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 will likely be unveiled at a Samsung event scheduled for the 15th of August.

KitGuru says: We can't wait to see how the S-Pen performs on the big screen.
