Ferrari release powerful 458 Speciale dream car

Ferrari have created an enhanced version of their beautiful 458 Italia for showcase at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car receives a series of improvements included enhanced power and uprated aerodynamics to help optimise drag and downforce.

The 458 Speciale is their most powerful V8 engine yet. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in three seconds, not bad for a car weighing 1,290kg. The company claim the 135cv per litre from the 596bhp 4.5 litre engine is the highest ever put out by one of their road cars.

The car was designed as a partnership between the Ferrari Styling Centre and Pininfarina. The new Side Slip Angle Control (SSC) uses a new algorithm to compare the car's current side slip against a targeted number, adjusting torque management and distribution. The car ships with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tyres.

The car will be revealed in all its glory on September 10th at the FrankFurt Motor Show. More information is available on the Ferrari page, here.
