Outlast 2 due to come out next year

Red Barrels, the development studio behind highly rated horror title, Outlast, has announced that it has a sequel in the making for release next year. The game was announced this week and according to the announcement, the game will be a ” twisted new journey into the depths of the human mind and its dark secrets”.

“Outlast 2 will test your faith, pushing players to a place where going mad is the only sane thing to do”.

Unfortunately, information on what else the sequel will include is scarce. The original Outlast was a first person horror game set in an asylum, which is scary enough, so it will be interesting to see how the sequel steps things up.

Outlast 2 will  apparently feature a brand new setting and cast, so it should be an entirely new experience when it launches in 2016 next year.
