Synology launches C2 Transfer

Back in June, Synology announced plans to expand with its C2 cloud services with new features like secure file transfers. Now, C2 Transfer is officially available, enabling protected file transfers between businesses and their clients or other external parties.

With C2 Transfers, Synology is looking to solve ‘the last mile' problem, when teams send out important or sensitive files to clients. To keep things simple, C2 Transfer ensures that files are always delivered to the right person by using a one-time password system to a sender-specified email address or phone number. This means the file should only be accessible to the intended recipient.

C2 Transfer keeps data private with end-to-end encryption. It also includes built-in support for image watermarks, download expiration dates, single-use downloads, and file requests to receive files securely.

Synology C2 Pro plan subscribers can start using C2 Transfer as of today. There is also a 90-day free trial available until the end of 2021.
