Resident Evil 2 Remake surpasses 10M sales, Monster Hunter Sunbreak surpasses 3M

During its launch week, the excellent Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion surpassed 2 million copies cold, with Monster Hunter Rise also surpassing 10 million copies sold. Now, Capcom has hit two back to back milestones, with Sunbreak surpassing 3 million sales and Resident Evil 2 Remake surpassing 10 million copies sold.

Sunbreak is a massive premium expansion for Rise. In addition to new quest ranks, locales, monsters and never-before-experienced hunting actions, players can enjoy new story elements in Rise as well on Nintendo Switch and PC.

As for Resident Evil 2, Capcom created one of the best remakes we've ever seen and that reflected in glowing reviews at release. Since the January 2019 launch, Resident Evil 2 Remake has gone on to ship over 10 million copies across PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game had a small resurgence recently, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions releasing on the 14th of June.

This year, Capcom plans to release Resident Evil Re:Verse, a dedicated multiplayer spin-off, as well as a new story expansion for the Resident Evil Village campaign. In 2023, we'll also be getting Resident Evil 4 Remake.

KitGuru Says: Ever since Monster Hunter World and Resident Evil 7, Capcom has been on a tear, producing hit after hit. Hopefully this trend will continue in the years ahead.
