Diablo 4 release date leaks ahead of reveal at The Game Awards

There have been plenty of Diablo 4 leaks in recent months. Now, just ahead of the game's release date reveal at The Game Awards this week, the launch date has leaked alongside some other details.

While earlier rumours pointed to a potential April launch for Diablo 4, the game won't be releasing quite that early. According to a leak through the Microsoft Store, Diablo 4 will be launching on the 5th of June. A new release date announcement trailer is expected to go live during The Game Awards.

Pre-orders for the game should also go live this week alongside the first details of Diablo 4's Collectors Edition. As expected, the game will be launching for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5, skipping over last-gen consoles.

The Game Awards will be going live on the 9th of December for those of us in the UK, starting at 12:30AM GMT.

KitGuru Games: DLSS 5 misses the point

It would be hard to argue that NVIDIA’s DLSS technologies haven’t been a net positive to the PC space, with the machine-learning based upscaler successfully translating lower resolution inputs into a final image which is perceivably sharper while hogging fewer resources. Though somewhat more contentious, the next evolution of DLSS came in the form of Frame Generation, using ML in order to generate additional frames for high-refresh rate gaming. Both techniques can have their issues, but generally speaking they’ve allowed for more people to experience higher-end titles at increased frame rates. DLSS 5, however, takes a sharp pivot, with a very different end goal in mind than the performance-boosting versions that came before.
