Haven Studios announces PvP heist shooter ‘Fairgame$’

Following months of leaks and rumours, Sony’s PlayStation conference finally went live, bringing with it over an hour of information on a whole host of new games. Starting off the showcase was the debut title from first-party PlayStation team ‘Haven Studios’ – announcing the competitive modern heist game Fairgame$.

Announced at the PlayStation Showcase – and expounded upon via the PlayStation Blog – Mathieu Leduc, the Creative Director at Haven Studios released the first trailer for Fairgame$.

Described as a “fresh, modern take on the heist genre,” Fairgame$ will have you “join an underground movement to rob the ultra-rich and rebalance the scales.”

The trailer itself did not show any gameplay, however, according to Haven Studios “Fairgame$ came from a desire to create a new type of PvP game with emergent sandbox gameplay,” adding that “we want to deliver a fresh multiplayer experience that rewards creativity and mastery and delivers surprising stories each and every time you play.”

Fairgame$ is in development for both PS5 and PC, though neither a release date nor a release window was shared. As a new IP, Fairgame$ has potential, however we will have to wait and see whether the gameplay holds up.
