Horizon Forbidden West update adds Lance Reddick memorial

On the 17th of March 2023, Lance Reddick unfortunately passed away at the age of 60 due to a heart disease. The actor has featured in many iconic video game roles including as Commander Zavala in Destiny and Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. As a tribute to Reddick, a memorial has now been constructed in Horizon Forbidden West.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the team at Guerrilla Games said “In honor of Lance Reddick, we created a memorial to commemorate the profound impact he had on us all. Thank you, Lance, for everything you brought to the role of Sylens: your gravitas, energy, wisdom and more. An incomparable talent and friend. We miss you terribly.”

Sylens was by far one of the most interesting characters in Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West – thanks in no small part to Reddick’s excellent performance – and so it is heartening to see the actor being paid tribute to by Guerrilla Games. A video on exactly where to locate the memorial can be found HERE.
