Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 surpasses 2 million copies sold in under two weeks

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launched under two weeks ago to a flurry of strong praise, with the hybrid turn-based RPG becoming the highest-rated game of the year so far and going on to sell over 1 million copies in just a few days. Since then, its momentum has continued, with the game now surpassing 2 million copies sold.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the official Clair Obscur page shared the following:

“Twelve days in, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has crossed two million copies sold. We’ve watched in awe as so many of you began your journey. Feeling every step, every emotion, every revelation alongside you. To those just joining us: welcome. Tomorrow comes.”

While the title was published by Kepler Interactive (a co-operative of sorts), Expedition 33 marks the debut title from studio Sandfall Interactive – making its continued success even more notable.

What’s next for Clair Obscur and Sandfall Interactive is currently unknown, however the team may be considering releasing DLC for the title at some point in the future. We will have to wait and see.
