Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 leaks, should be first COD on Switch 2

Ahead of the Xbox Games Showcase next week, Infinity Ward confirmed that it was hard at work on the next Call of Duty. Now, the key art for the new game has leaked, revealing what we all expected – another Modern Warfare game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is set to be this year's game. Based on the key art shared by leaker bilbil-kun, it looks like the campaign this time around will be set in Korea, featuring both the north and south sides.

On top of this, Nate the Hate has made the claim that this year's Call of Duty game will be the first to land on Nintendo Switch 2. Microsoft had signed a 10-year deal with Nintendo to ensure Call of Duty comes to the Nintendo platform moving forward. However, due to uncertainty around the Switch 2's launch date, as well as a lack of development kits, Microsoft was unable to bring last year's game, Black Ops 7, to Nintendo's new console.

Since then, Nintendo has ramped up production for both Switch 2 dev kits and consumer units, ensuring plentiful stocks all around.

KitGuru Says: It will be interesting to see how well Call of Duty holds up on the Switch 2 if it is indeed coming to the platform this year. The big concern though will be storage – the Switch 2 only has 256GB of internal storage, which based on current install sizes, may be just enough, but you'll have to forgo installing other AAA games.
