be quiet! has announced the launch of its Dark Power Pro 14 IO power supply series, offered in 1600W and 1300W capacities. Designed for high-end systems, these ATX 3.1 units feature 80 Plus Titanium efficiency, active or semi-passive cooling, and desktop integration through the brand's new IO Center software.
Integrating with the be quiet! IO Center software, the series becomes the company's first PSU lineup with smart software control. Users can monitor real-time efficiency, fan speeds, and power usage from a desktop dashboard, which also includes a built-in power cost calculator. The software enables switching between single-rail and multi-rail operation as well as selecting between active and semi-passive fan modes.
Featuring a fully digital control design using Active Rectifier full-bridge LLC technology, both models include 80 Plus Titanium and Cybenetics Titanium certifications, achieving up to 94.9% energy efficiency. Thermal management relies on an aluminium heat sink with an integrated Silent Wings fan powered by a 6-pole motor and fluid-dynamic bearing. In active mode, the fan spins continuously, while semi-passive mode keeps the fan off under light loads.
As ATX 3.1 PSUs, both models provide native integration for a 12V-2×6 connector to support PCIe 5.1 graphics cards alongside four PCIe 6×2-pin connectors for current-generation GPUs. Four cable comb sizes accompany the modular, sleeved cabling, making routing easier. Comprehensive electrical protections safeguard against overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuits, and power surges, backed by a 10-year manufacturer's warranty.
The Dark Power Pro 14 IO will be available on September 1st starting at £399.99/$479.90/€439.90 for the 1300W model and £449.99/$499.90/€479.90 for the 1600W one.
KitGuru says: be quiet!'s new flagship PSU isn't cheap, but it comes with all the bells and whistles you could want from a high-end PSU.
