Ever since the game’s initial release back in 2022, Polyphony Digital have kept Gran Turismo 7 fresh with free and consistent updates. While a smaller patch than some, the latest update to GT7 is bringing with it a number of welcome additions, including 4 new vehicles, 3 additional events and more.
Taking to their blog to make the announcement, the team at Polyphony Digital confirmed that a new update is coming to Gran Turismo 7 later today. Labelled as update 1.71, this latest patch adds the following:
- 4 new vehicles
- Caterham Seven Superlight R500 '08
- Hyundai IONIQ 6 N '25
- Toyota Chaser Tourer V '97
- Toyota Mark II Tourer V '97
- 3 new World Circuit events
- Japanese FR Challenge 450
- European Clubman Cup 600
- World Touring Car 600
- New Whistler Mountain scape
As mentioned, this is far from GT7’s biggest update. That said, it still presents a welcome and continued commitment to what is Polyphony Digital’s first proper live-service adjacent game.
Since the game’s arrival in 2022, Gran Turismo 7 has been updated with tons of new events; tracks; engine swaps; menus and of course vehicles – with more than 130 cars having been added over the years. Full details on GT7’s August Update can be found HERE.
