Battlefield 6 has launched the final phase of Season 4 today with the Tidal Strike update, introducing a new Collection Event, fresh REDSEC content, expanded Portal modes and a week‑long free trial for new players.
Season 4’s Tidal Strike update is available now, bringing new playlists, limited‑time events and a push toward the season’s conclusion. The update spans Battlefield 6, Battlefield REDSEC and Portal, with several new activities rolling out over the next month.
From September 15th through to September 22nd, Battlefield will host a Free Trial, giving new players access to a curated selection of maps and modes. Wake Island, Tsuru Reef, Cairo Bazaar and Hagental Base will all be available, alongside Conquest, Escalation and the Deep Six Event Playlist. The trial runs parallel to a Double XP weekend, giving both new and returning players a chance to progress faster.
Top Gun has also been extended through to the end of Season 4. Carrier Strike and Fighter Sweep will remain active, giving players more time to jump into air‑focused combat across land, sea and sky. Portal is expanding too, with King of the Hill and Domination being added as Verified Modes, allowing players to build new custom experiences around them.
The update also introduces Phantom Program, a limited‑time REDSEC operation set within Fort Lyndon. Players will hunt for hidden intelligence and access‑code fragments scattered across the map. The mode blends exploration with high‑stakes combat, rewarding squads with XP, Weapon Packages and other items as they uncover pieces of a larger mystery.
Tidal Strike’s biggest addition is the Deep Six Collection Event, running until the 12th of October. Players will complete contracts and gather intel devices across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC to earn exclusive rewards. Completing the full event unlocks the Royal Navy Dive Knife skin. Finally, today’s update also marks the beginning of proximity chat testing within REDSEC, a feature players have been requesting since launch.
KitGuru Says: Season 4 is wrapping up with a packed update. Between Phantom Program, Deep Six and the free trial, Battlefield 6 players have plenty to jump into over the next few weeks.
