Apple preparing for iPad3 debut launch next month

According to reports on The NextWeb, Apple are preparing for a debut launch of the iPad 3 as early as next month. They quoted unnamed sources close to the company. Apple are apparently ‘in crunch mode' to line up applications to demonstrate the new flagship tablet computer.

Apple spend some time hand selecting the best applications to showcase the new technology. This selection process is apparently moving along at an ‘increased rate' with a focus placed on the new super high resolution Retina display.

Apple are sending the best applications they can find to their advertising agency, TWBA/Chiat/Day, for potential inclusion in upcoming TV advertisements promoting the tablet.

The iPad 3 is said to be launched in San Francisco in the first week of March, according to AllThingsD.

The iPad 3 will be a major upgrade to the Apple tablet, unlike the second version which was a little thinner with dual core processing power. The new iPad 3 will not only feature a faster chip but a better graphics processor and super high resolution Retina display of 2048×1538 pixels. This will move the pixel density into the same sector as the iPhone 4S.

Kitguru says: A major launch for Apple, and one that could generate them billions in revenue.
