FireFox 9 released with faster JavaScript engine

Mozilla have released Firefox 9 which features some new code changes, including a faster Javascript engine. Reports show that this engine is up to 30% faster in most instances which should improve performance on some websites.

This new Javascript addition is called ‘Type Inference' and Mozilla have also improved the code for Macintosh OSX users, with new swipe navigation and theme integration.

  1. Most of the sites are loaded with javascript which takes time to execute. This new release by Mozilla is focused on improving javascript performance, which is a great move. Hope this will help them to retain or increase their market share

  2. Overall, firefox 9 is definitely an improvement that now it loads pretty fast. This was only glitch in it compared to other browsers
