Whitney Houston music tops iTunes sales after death

After her death on Saturday sales of Whitney Houston music climbed worldwide charts. Apple iTunes mirrored the interest in her music, with her ‘Greatest Hits’ album claiming the Number 1 spot. Fans and musicians have been shocked to hear of her death at such a young age, only 48. Aretha Franklin, her godmother said the news was ‘stunning and unbelievable’ and diva Mariah Carey said she was ‘heartbroken and in tears’.

Her 18 year old daughter Bobbi was taken to hospital under stress. Whitney Houston died in her hotel room the night before the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
