The Deutsche Case Mod Meisterschaft competition kicks off at Gamescom

Our Gamescom 2017 coverage continues. Earlier today, we had a chance to swing by the Deutsche Case Mod Meisterschaft competition and get an early look at the case mod projects getting under way this year.

Some teams this year were laser focussed on set-up, meanwhile others were laying out previous mods to help spruce up the look of their build zone. As soon as everyone is all ready to go, an MSI representative will start the countdown and each team will have just 24 hours to produce their best work.

We asked Ali Abbas and Johannes Loew from Caseking about the prize money this year and were told “forget prizes- we do this for honour!”.

The DCMM competition is taking place in Hall 10 at Gamescom this year. We imagine it will be filled with the smell of melted plastic, grinding metal and burning wood for the next 24 hours while these modders battle it out until one team emerges victorious.

KitGuru Says: I'm looking forward to seeing how some of these modded systems turn out tomorrow. We'll be sure to check back in for an update on how it's all going.
