Razer is getting in to audio production

Razer has been a company for gamers for a long time, primarily focussing on peripherals over the last decade. However, over the last few years, the company has also been working on expanding its software suite, with Synapse, Comms, Cortex and now Razer is also getting in to audio production software. In addition, Razer is launching ‘Razer Music', a new platform for aspiring electronic music creators.

Razer was able to get a few big names on board ahead of time, including Deadmau5 for the launch. Razer Music will contain tutorial videos, articles about music production and artist pages. Content will be added over time and Razer wants the platform to grow even further.

Obviously producers also need software to make beats with, not just a portal filled with tutorials, which is why Razer is teaming up with Image-Line to give Razer Blade laptop owners a free copy of FL Studio Producer Edition, though this offer only includes those who own a 2015 edition of the Blade.

Razer Music is a new market for the company, so it will be interesting to see if it takes off.

KitGuru Says: Razer is stepping in to a completely different realm with this new launch. Are any of you aspiring producers or musicians? I was a musician myself once upon a time, unfortunately being in a band can be quite a challenge at times.
