Microsoft’s flaccid PR gaff

When it comes to gaffs, the bigger they are the funnier it is.

Earlier this week Microsoft organised a PR event in Norway to promote a set of updates to Windows Azure cloud computing platform. As with most of these events Micorsoft’s PR team arranged the obligatory song and dance.

To kick off the event they arrange for a troupe of dancing girls with NRG techno music.

The song, which clearly no one from Microsoft actually listened to before agreeing contains such lines as “CSS is my LSD” and “The words Micro and Soft don’t apply to my penis”

Microsoft were quick to offer their apologies. Frank Shaw, lead corporate communications for Microsoft tweeded: “This routine had vulgar language, was inappropriate and was just not ok. We apologize to our customers and partners”.

Kitguru Says: We love the fact that even with all the red tape big corporate companies have, they still make simple, funny mistakes.
