Asus say notebook shipments will grow 30% in US this year

The PC market is facing tough times due to the world economy, however ASUS seem positive about 2012 claiming that their notebook shipments should grow in the US alone by up to 30% this year.

Asustek US president Steven Chang spoke to Digitimes and said that Best Buy is the companies first retail channel partner in America and they added Office Depot as their second partner last year. To help growth and sales they are adding two more partners this year, Staples and Walmart. Two big players in the US market.

Due to issues with hard drive supplies Asus say that they expect revenues for the month to drop by 25% on month.

Kitguru says: Asus are one of the world's largest tech companies, to see 30% growth this year would be impressive.
