ASUStek October revenue growth

Asustek reported non consolidated revenue growth on November 8th. They quoted NT£35.555 billion (US$1.213 billion) for October, a growth of 5.31% on month and 13.60% on year. Their revenue for January-October was NT$305.002 billion, rising 15.86% on year.

The growth in October has been attributed to larger expected demand for the Nexus 7 and notebooks, specifically Europe and North America.

Digitimes also add that they have obtained “higher than expected orders for VivoBook series Windows 8 touch-control notebooks, with more than 600,000 units to be shipped by the end of 2012”. Their goal of reaching 20% of notebook shipments being Windows 8 touch models can be attained.

Kitguru says: They are expecting strong results for the remainder of the year.
